If you cannot reach us and your pet needs urgent help, please contact Tierklinik Kalbach — or any other animal hospital nearby, for example in Hofheim or Gießen.
What counts as an emergency?
- Acute abdominal pain
- Sudden paralysis or seizures
- Persistent vomiting
- Difficulty breathing
- Loss of consciousness
- Complications during birth
- Heatstroke
- Sudden, marked deterioration in general condition
- Serious injury (open wounds, lameness)
- Heavy bleeding
- Severe pain
- Suspected poisoning (chocolate, antifreeze, medication and similar)
If in doubt, call too early rather than too late.
